2023 ZOZO Championship from Thu to Sun, we went there yesterday 10/21.

2022 Champion, B. Keegan san

Weather was nice, traffic was not so bad, and could park our car close to the entry gate. It was a great start of a beautiful Saturday.

We watched groups started from the hole 1. The first tee introductions were so much fun.

After that we didn’t follow any particular group, instead stayed at the area where we can go checking both groups started from the front-nine and the back-nine.

For the group started from the hole 1, hole 9 is the turning point, and for the group started from the hole 10, hole 18 is the turning point. We just waited for all of them to come!

We watched many tee shots, walked 10km and left before evening.

And now, we are watching the final round on the TV.

Matsuyama san was not so good but anyway we are happy anyway watching him play.

Matsuyama san is one of players who can attract audience by his swings. Of course scores and ranking are important but whatever his situation is we always enjoy watching his swings.

This time ZOZO offered a package ticket that includes for an entry and parking place, means we did not need to worry about where to park our car. We woke up 5:00 and left home at 6:00, arrived at around 8:20.

ZOZO! Please hold the PGA in 2024 again!

PGA ZOZO Championship 2022 in Japan

Keegan Bradley san won this year! 2022/10/16

It’s day3, we went to Chiba. Left home at 4:50. Arrived at Narashino golf club at 6:40.

ZOZO championship is a rare opportunity to see professional golfers from overseas including Japanese golfers who play mainly in the US, here in Japan.

Tiger Woods won his 82nd PGA in 2019.

Last year Hideki Matsuyama won the tournament.

How about this year? We’ll see tomorrow.

Anyway, we were able to see many many golfers today. We walked 12,000 steps, and enjoyed it.

I got a new friend.
We are all crazy about Hideki Matsuyama san.

And most exciting thing was the sound of driving.

Excuse me, since I have no idea how to say in English. I am not sure any equivalent expressions exist or so.

We’ll go to driving range tomorrow morning, while what we watched are still fresh we better imitate as much as possible.

And I have to share the winner Keegan Bradley-san’s emotional tweet here.

I cried. Just how wonderful family is.
