React Nativeで試作を作る

I’m making a prototype app with React Native.

Android + iOS = React Native

And, really actually it is possible.

If you are interested in, please have a look. It is in Japanese and clean sentences, so that google translation would work well.

 [React Nativeで爆速プロトタイプアプリを作ろう]

this easy to grasp article.

An author is Japanese-born Chinese guy,

by reading through his guide it made me start following the steps given, it felt like feasible.

Spending two to three hours to build an environment first, and make slides with title and text, up-to here no fee required.

I bought the first course (¥800).

Currently it’s 2/3 of the first course, and now my app looks like this.

1 out of 3 courses.

Three slides, background color, font size, font type and image..

That’s it!

No functionality yet, but it will have soon.

By using an another app “EXPO”, I can open it with my iPhone SE instantly.

You know how impressive it’d be that I could see what I wrote with my actual iOS device.

Really, hands on is definitely the best way learning how to make an app.

Temperature difference, what? 23℃?

Yesterday I was in Okinawa, today I’m in Hokkaido, that kinda difference.

Cold!

Many countries and major cities are taking measures, curfews, limiting outgo now against C19.

Tokyo as well. Several Department stores are temporary closing across the board yesterday and today.

Where there is no place to go, there is no purpose to outgo.

Now March is going.

Work from home is recommended, and my partner started working at home, too.

Already two weeks?

It’s convenient and less risk, it eliminates unnecessary worries.

We eat breakfast, lunch and dinner together.

He has video/online meetings in the other room,

I’m in the kitchen, in front of my computer installed on the compact shelf desk.

And my new job, that will also switch to WFH from next week. At last.

The novel coronavirus, swiftly spread and there is nothing we can do but protect ourselves from people outside. It’s sad.

Of course, we are blessed to have technology to meet people through screen, that was almost magic twenty years ago.

We, pray and be kind each other.

Longing the mundanities of everyday life to come back.

Cherry blossoms along Meguro river

2020 Spring

A new office I am in is close to Meguro river. From the office window, we are able to enjoy a row of cherry trees.

There is no gathering allowed, but people are taking a walk, and pictures.

Walking under the sun helps generating vitamin D which strengthens immune system.

Without sunlight we are not able to survive, therefor a short walk like this should be encouraged.

As long as I am mobile

My squat routine helping me to stay in shape, also it’s a huge help in daily life.

Today mom and I visited our family grave site.

My grandpa bought it in Showa era.

I believe he was still in his fifties and didn’t pay much attention to this steep slope.

Nice weather.

And more slope.

And a superb outlook.

It looks like this from the top.

Oh,

Grandpa..

So, I must be strong in 30 years at least. Otherwise there would be no one here to visit there.

It is often seen that terraced mountainside with gravesites.

That makes me feel like I’m being looked after by grandpa, grandma and dad from the mountain top.

Walking on two legs is one of essential abilities as same as sight and taking food by mouth.

When I run I think of dad, I kinda run for dad. Sounds strange but that’s how I feel.

When I drink a cup of water, I don’t t throw it away but I drink it all to the last drop. This is also for dad, as he was not able to drink plain water from his mouth.

And when I read and write I think of dad a lot.

It’s Spring equinox and Higan, it’s time for remembering our ancestors.

Is it a small stuff or a big stuff?

Again and again, one of my favorite books.

Don’t sweat the small stuff and it’s all small stuff.

Written by Richard Carlson.

Reading this book almost every morning while in a 🛀 for three years.

And I was thinking if the thing that is bothering me now a small stuff or a big stuff.

Here is a story.

I got a second contract to shore up my finances for a month or so.

on Monday and Wednesday, I went to the new office and found out:

・They have a weekly office cleaning contract.

・A restroom is within the office space. (The office looks more like a small one-room apartment.)

・An independent men’s restroom and women’s restroom, it’s legally prescribed.

・Restrooms are faced each other across shared use hand-washing space. The restroom entrance door is also shared use.

・No paper towels nor hand dryer installed, but soap and alcohol hand rub.

・No sanitary box or bag installed.

・Another lady, a full-time employee who joined in early March, she told me how shocked by the situation, but couldn’t open discussion because she was the only female until I join.

・Out the plastic bottles by themselves on every Wednesday.

Seriously?

To me it was the norm to see cleaning staff in the office everyday.

I have never cleaned the workplace by myself, never been asked to do so.

And I always appreciated to those who keep the workplace clean and control hygiene for all workers.

By the way, I’d say that cleaning duty is one of things should be handled by the robot to avoid diseases and/or harmful effects of the virus near future.

Anyway, on Wednesday after lunch break I spoke to the person in charge asking to increase the frequency of the cleaning, preferably a daily.

Stressed that it is not okay to leave trash and all other stuff for a whole week within workplace (visible to visitors), and asked his opinion about the hygiene control.

at a loss of what to do? I’m sorry.

I may lose my job.. So what?

Seen in this sight, workplace safety is not a small stuff to me.

They will probably face a similar situation as they are going to increase the number of workers. They are in the middle of recruitment process.

When you see Japanese public bathroom at the train station, airport, even in the park, it’s clean and under someone’s control.

It is cleaned up daily, maybe several times a day.

Out of curiosity, I googled who should take care of cleanup at the workplace, and found the following article which gave me some comfort.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/growth-center/resources/clean-the-bathroom-for-success

I threw away plastic bottles on Wednesday for them.

hope that would be the last time, hope they would arrange daily cleanup service soon. Or I have to throw the litters away for them again.

Or terminate the contract before it gets complicated.

As a housewife I have enough house work, have no room for the extra.

In masks

Please, just wear the surgical masks whenever you go out.

If you are not able to buy one, you can still make it out of cloth and a gauze.

Just cover your mouth, it’s better than zero.

AND, discard a used mask immediately in a closed bin.

Don’t touch the front of mask, look at it as a filthy filter in a vacuum machine.

Isolation is recommended.

Let’s give in and enjoy work from home.
